Intensive course work designed for recent MSW graduates and experienced practitioners taking ASWB Social Work Licensing Examinations.


SWES lecture courses are two-day programs offered on weekends throughout the year. The first day of the program starts at 9:00am and ends at 5:00pm. The second day also starts at 9:00am and ends at 3:30. Regular breaks are provided throughout the day.

The course focuses on test preparation and content review. All major clinical areas are covered with a special emphasis on test-taking skills using sample multiple-choice questions in the style of those found on found on license exams. The course and review books provide extensive practice with multiple-choice questions.

Courses are offered many times per year on weekends in New Jersey, New York City and Long Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Maine. SWES courses are also offered in association with schools of social work, social agencies, unions and other groups in various parts of the country.   • Test-Taking Skills - participants take a brief test and review questions and strategies for test taking.
  • A Review of Human Behavior and Psychopathology
  • Work with special populations; the elderly, children and families, addictions
  • DSM IVTR
  • Clinical Practice with Individuals and Groups - including ethics and laws affecting social workers.




    Our Guarantee: Students who attend a a Social Work Examination Services Lecture Program and do not pass a social work licensing examination taken within one year of the course, may retake an equivalent SWES Review course at no charge.

The Guide contains a complete content review and over 1600 sample multiple-choice questions including Four Practice Examinations, and a bibliography.
